Meet Baker! Baker is an approximately 7 year old domestic short hair cat that Milwaukee Pets Alive rescued from Milwaukee Animal Control (MADACC). He is primarily white, with patches of brown tabby along his back, tail, and legs (including patches of beautiful chocolate brown). Baker has gorgeous crystal clear blue eyes very dreamy you can get lost in them! You might be wondering, how did he get the name Baker? Well, when we met Baker at Animal Control, he would come out of the little box in his cage to greet us, marching in place, making biscuits in delight! When we rescued Baker from Animal Control, we picked him up in a cat carrier and put a soft blanket inside for him. He immediately made more biscuits on this new soft blankie. We take all of our animals straight to our veterinarian upon rescue and Baker made biscuits all the way there, in the waiting room, standing up, lying down, even on the hard exam table. We could tell this kitty took his biscuit-making very seriously, hence the name Baker was bestowed upon him! Baker is quite a charming fellow. Everyone that meets him falls in love with his friendly and welcoming personality. He figures that if you have hands, then you should be able to pet him. He never shies away from anyone. In fact, he acts more like a dog than a cat. He comes when he's called and waits by the front door when he hears the keys jingling from down the hallway when his foster parents are coming home. Baker is usually a laid back little guy, but when he is ready to play he goes all out! He loves chasing around his Da Bird toy and the laser light. Like all other cats he goes nuts for catnip and even has his own little catnip cigar-shaped toy. Baker also enjoys watching anything and everything out the window birds, dogs, people he loves to watch all the activity. If he's not playing, he's cuddling or hanging out around his humans. He craves attention all the time and will follow you around until you give him enough love. He loves to cuddle, especially when you have a soft blanket. He even found the softest blanket his foster parents had and adopted it as his own! Baker would do well as an only pet (more petting and attention for him, he says), or with other laid-back pets (as long as he's still the center of attention). Bakers adoption fee is $65 and, like all MPA adoptable pets, he is microchipped, vaccinated, and neutered.
