About Me: Well hey there, I am Sheila! As you can probably tell I am a basset hound pit bull mix! I was found as a stray and taken to a shelter. They said I am a happy, playful girl that likes other dogs, and I passed all of their temperament testing. I like to meet new people, know how to ?sit? and ride well in the car.
I am now living with my new BBR foster family. I am very comfortable with children and love giving kisses. My foster mom says I like other dogs but have a more dominant personality so shouldn?t be placed with another dominant dog. I am also doing fine with the cats that live here. Stairs are ok although the coming down part is a little intimidating. I pull a bit on leash but its hard for me because I want to walk a bit faster than the slow pokes I live with. I need to be monitored or eat separately at meal times as I would happily take all of the food for myself! I have been fine home alone for short periods of time and am pretty flexible to my family?s activities.
Note from my foster mom:
Sheila has a dominating personality and will require an assertive human. She is not your typical food slave. A bit more Pitbull like than Basset. Very sweet, but fast moving like a terrier. Likes to play and get massages. Not overly eager for belly rubs though. She is rather quiet. I have not heard her bark since I picked her up-a little whine, but no bark.
